The main reason that I’m writing this Blog post is to appreciate my wife. Also I'd like to know your experiences about the following issue.
Let me start by bringing up one reality of the current modern life; Nowadays you can find at least a PC or laptop in each home and almost one member of the family is spending 70% of his or her times on computer and internet. It doesn’t matter if you are an IT expert or not! Because without a doubt you are using some free mail and chat systems or you are a member of any society websites like Facebook or blog systems; then involuntarily you’d prefer to be online as much as you can!
If you are single you are fully owner of your times but if you are married you have to share your times with your wife or husband and children too.

Clearly working with computer software, playing computer games and navigation through the web, are using more than 90% of mind and you cannot do anything else. In other side, your partner is not expecting this much time without you, due to the hobby things and as a funny. Obviously entertainment, pleasure, fun and play are the main reasons for the Non-IT people for using the computer and internet this much.
Unfortunately I know some families that they have faced serious problems and you can’t blame one of them (wife or husband). Then please don’t cheat your spouse by wasting his or her share of your times on computer and internet due to amusement and save your love and future of your children!

However if you are working in the IT as a profession then it will be more difficult to continue the normal life and your job if your partner is not in IT field too. Because as a programmer and developer I have faced some IT works experiences which I couldn’t sleep for three or four days for example during the releasing and debugging phase of the software development and sometimes I could not leave the office or home. Imagine, surely your spouse likes to smash your laptop on your head, because you are just telling apologize and then continuing the work again.
But if you marry with an IT person, then she/he will be in your IT team and instead of fighting, you will improve your IT knowledge with peace and love! (Anyway you cannot be online for entertainment because your spouse knows everything and you have to update your weblog monthly like me! Wink )

Thank GOD, I have an IT expert as a wife and her understanding and help is very much appreciated.  "My darling! as you know , I love you not for IT, I love you, Not only for what you are, But for what I am when I am with you."

Actually the questions that I’ve mentioned in the title are wrong and Love and IT are totally independent, but I brought up it here to just warn myself and my friends.
Also I hope the IT young men and women wed together to avoid any anticipated problems. Smile

What do you think? Is there another solution? I am always grateful to receive your comments.

Proposal without RFP (request for proposal)

Dec 09

At the moment I’m working on a proposal to provide membership and portal system for one of the famous events in UAE. It’s my staff duty to prepare the required proposals but sometimes I have to prepare them myself for the prompt requests. Frown

Really writing the proposal for customers is a strange headache for the IT companies. Mostly you are not aware of the customer budget and you have not received the RFP from them!

Imagine, you don’t know the scope of the work and there are a lot of options that you can include to the proposal. Customer should send the request which includes detailed specifications for the desired product (RFP). But unfortunately nowadays they just request the product (we need online shop, we need HRMS, we need accounting software ...) and you cannot ask more and usually they are not able to provide you more detail due to lack of the specific knowledge or because of having the wrong marketing strategy in their mind.

What do you think? What’s your solution at this situation? Look forward to receiving your comments, ideas and solutions.
